I’VE SPENT MY LIFE IN PLACES WHERE THE STAKES ARE REAL, THE DECISIONS ARE IRREVERSIBLE, AND THE ONLY WAY THROUGH IS TOGETHER. WHETHER I’M ON A ROPE TEAM ABOVE 20,000 FEET, ON YOUR STAGE, OR ON THE PAGE—I SHARE THESE STORIES BECAUSE I BELIEVE THEY BELONG TO ALL OF US.

“Real leadership isn’t about being fearless. It’s about being honest enough to move forward scared.”

I am the first American woman to successfully summit and descend Mount Everest without supplemental oxygen. I’ve climbed the world’s highest peak six times, and I’ve devoted my life to learning from the mountains—and sharing those lessons with others.
I’m known as a determined, hard-working, and enthusiastic teacher, but at my core, I’m a student of the mountains first.

I’m a mountain guide, speaker, and author driven by a passion for shared adventure and the balance between learning and teaching. As an athlete, I’m constantly pushing my limits—striving to become a better mountain traveler while remaining a lifelong student of the craft.
